Ok this is going to be a quick one...
Todays at work we got a virus, happens all the time in computers doesn't it? However the virus was LET in by norton. Norton who charge top dollar for service. A service that updates once a week. That gives a virus 6 days to get a hold! A service that doesn't scan all incoming data just running apps and downloads! So many holes! Well anyways long story short...
This virus spread everywhere and disabled norton.
Norton kept claim it had been removed!
Symantecs tool kept saying it was removed!
Norton was defeated by a 3 week old virus!
Me went to a competitor whos tool worked!
They let me have it for free!
Lesson to be learnt?
Symantec Bad! Need to get act into shape!
Personally I hate Norton... seems to take the whole idea of 'If I can't see you uou can't see me' attitude by just making you think ur protected
Grrrr bad norton making me have to do work... I only wish they would sack those useless technicains and hire me who can fix stuff and find out how to fix stuff i know nowt about...

 | Its recently come to my attention that alot of Blogs are infested by ad pop ups. Where as this is normally just a very annoying thing it appears the blog owners are not aware of this and more worrying is the fact that these pop ups are running a VB script with installs the Psyme trojan. This torjan installs a backdoor into your system (like all trojans) which is then used to install other programs onto your system without any knowledge. Tese programs are generally adware, causing millions of pop ups and spyware, whch basicailly follows you around. This malware is very annoying and will eat your bandwidth. I suggest getting Adaware to remove any programs it has installed and getting an anti virus softwarepackage to remove the torjan. Its unknown to me which java/plugin is casuing this barrage of pop ups, some think its the calander other think its the music all i can advice is be careful you may well have it and have no idea at all. If unsure ask if people are getting pop ups. This site should have NO popups cause all the code is clean and written by me. That said, be careful |

| A break from the normal stance of things |

 | Today has been a very very annoying day for me, so annoying in fact i feel the need to vent the frustration by typing it all out.
I have been working for 6months for free on the promise that i will get a job out of it at the end. I have worked long and hard and given up so much just to try and impress and get the job. I enjoy the work most of the time and i do far more and take far more shit than the technicians who get paid! and get top of the range laptops bourght for them and everything and i got shit all yet i still worked hard.
So anyways i go for a job, i work for free and today when i asked whether i had got it or not i got this...
"You never filled in and returned the job application forms we gave you and the closing date is today"
the forms they gave me where health and police background checks which i filled in cause I have got the counter half to them, I never once got a job application form and now its too late. taken for a ride and i never got a thank you out of it. |

| An answer to why... |

It was recently asked 'Why Dragons?' in a comment, so i am going to explain it to you all.
If i was a philosopier I would simply answer....
Why not?
But since I am not i shall elaborate...
This Nemi comic is one of many i have read in a local newpaper and I think it elegantly sums everything up to one little neat package. I shall explain.
Dragons are magical and mystical creatures with many legends surrounding them. One of these legends say, and seemingly one of the most comman ones used today, "Dragons only exsist if you believe in them". For anyone who has played the first Discworld game or read any of the authors books you will have heard this, its also the one used in the story of "Puff the magic dragon". The simple premise is that if you believe in magic and dragons and all other spectaculir things they will exsist and this is something that i fear is lacking these days. We all have video games and TV which removes the need for imagination and believe, someone else has already done the thinking for you. Everyone wants action and adventure but are not willing to take the steps to make the adventure happen.
Belief is simple and its free and it can also be the most powerful thing in the world. Without believe there would be no Lord of the rings, no Discworld and no adventures. So why dragons? cause i like dragons they are very intresting and powerful and very very diverse. The magic is there its just you who has to make it happen. Let go of your controller and you will finally be incharge.
Close your eyes and open your mind, just cause you cannot see it doesn't mean it isn't real. You can make it as real as you want and best of all, Your the one incharge, no one else can change that.

| Energy Draining Monsters |

It's true. Kids are like unsatiable vampires when it comes to sucking up energy from unsuspecting adults. What's even worse though is that a lot of them project negative energy too - which, once you absorb it, cancel out your own natural positive energy. The reason they do this is that even kids can't use an unlimited amount of energy, and each child can only contain a certain amount of energy, so in order to make the adults around them weak when the kids are too full to drain them, the evil youngsters project this dull greyish form of energy that settles over the room like a kind of numbing fog.
Although as yet there is no known protection against this, there are ways to know that it is happening. If you see a bunch of kids who are screaming and fighting and climbing the walls, while there are adults present who just look on tiredly and don't do anything about it, it is because they have been neutralised by negative energy. That is usually also the case with parents who let their kids sample the wares in candy shops, or find themselves having to buy snacks and comics every time they go shopping, just to keep the children from wrecking the store.
If you encounter such kids, and their accompanying slave adults, your only way to protect yourself is to leave immediately - the negative energy isn't focused, it will slowly creep inside your body too and neutralise your store of positive energy, just because you happen to be in the vicinity.
